This role involves working with patients in outpatient clinics, hospitals, and home health settings to develop personalized treatment plans that promote recovery and enhance mobility.
Responsibilities
• Conduct thorough assessments of patients' physical conditions and needs.
• Develop individualized treatment plans based on assessments and patient goals.
• Implement therapeutic interventions including but not limited to trigger point therapy and manual therapy techniques.
• Educate patients and their families on treatment processes, exercises, and rehabilitation strategies.
• Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient care activities in compliance with medical standards.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care.
• Stay updated on the latest developments in physical therapy practices and techniques.
Qualifications
• Valid state licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Occupational Therapist.
• Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, and patient care practices.
• Experience in outpatient settings is preferred; experience in hospital or home health environments is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to build rapport with patients.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying current with industry trends.
