Application Instructions:

We are looking to hire a hard-working Concrete Superintendent to manage the day-to-day field operations of the assigned work team. The Concrete Superintendent's responsibilities include ordering equipment that is necessary for the project at hand, scheduling delivery of the equipment, and reviewing the equipment budget to ensure that there are no-cost overruns. You should also be able to train and mentor field staff.

To be successful as a Concrete Superintendent, you should be able to manage the work schedules of the field staff, adjusting them as needed. Ultimately, an outstanding Concrete Superintendent should be able to build good working relationships with customers and resolve customer complaints in an efficient manner.

As a Concrete Superintendent, you should display excellent leadership skills and motivated behavior. You should also be familiar with the industry procedures and latest developments. Your ability to work in a team as well as independently will be advantageous.



Position Description:
  1. Liaising with engineering and project management teams to ensure that the project design is accurate before work commences.
  2. Ordering and scheduling the delivery of all equipment needed for the project.
  3. Acting as the main point of communication between the main field and the office.
  4. Managing the work schedules and time cards for all field staff.
  5. Providing leadership to on-site staff, sub-contractors, and other parties.
  6. Investigating and resolving customer complaints.
  7. Ensuring that safety policies are strictly adhered to.
  8. Reviewing project progress to ensure that deadlines are met.


Position Requirements:

Qualifications

  1. High school diploma or GED.
  2. Proven experience in supervising field operations.
  3. The ability to work in different environmental conditions.
  4. Strong leadership and communication skills.
  5. Excellent customer service skills.
  6. Sound knowledge of contract terms and pricing.
  7. Experience with concrete construction is required.
