About This Position
The main responsibility of this employee is to provide repairs and basic maintenance of a variety of vehicles and equipment in a team environment. Huge opportunity to work on a variety of equipment. Attention to detail, the ability to manage priorities and a positive attitude is important!
Key Responsibilities:
- Keeping equipment available for use by inspecting and testing vehicles; completing preventive maintenance such as, engine tune-ups, oil changes, replacing filters.
- Utilize fleet software to manager PMs and history of all vehicles and equipment
- Fleet of approximately 100 trucks, trailers including semis to excavation equipment, vans, and pickups
- Maintaining vehicle functional condition by listening to operator complaints; conducting inspections; repairing engine failures; repairing mechanical and electrical systems malfunctions; replacing parts and components.
- Level II/III skilled mechanic required
- Clean driving record with the ability to drive a variety of vehicles including those with a standard transmission
- Be able to lift up to 75 pounds, crawl in confined spaces, climb ladders, perform repeated bending and lifting
- Be able to set priorities
- Show a desire to learn a variety of mechanic skills, theories and operational functions on a variety of vehicles and equipment
