Bindery Operator - 1st Shift at Amsive – Bolingbrook, Illinois

Location: 605 Territorial Dr Bolingbrook, IL 60440
Work Hours: 6am – 2:30pm M - F, with expected additional hours/weekends mandatory.
Pay: Starting at $18.00 per hour based on experience and skills

What we are looking for:
The Operator I, Bindery is responsible for bindery related activities such as cutting and folding in our Bindery Department.

What you will be doing:

• Set up and operate bindery equipment such as cutters, folders, stitchers, inserters, and binding machines
• Read and interpret job tickets, work orders, and production schedules
• Adjust machine settings to ensure proper alignment, cutting, folding, and binding
• Inspect finished products for quality, accuracy, and consistency
• Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on equipment
• Maintain production efficiency while minimizing waste
• Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean work area
• Collaborate with press operators, mailing teams, and supervisors to meet deadlines
• Accurately complete production and quality control documentation

• 1 or more years of bindery or print production experience preferred
• Experience with cutters, folders, stitchers, or inserters
• Mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot equipment issues
• Ability to read rulers, measurements, and job specifications accurately
• Strong attention to detail and quality control
• Ability to work independently and as part of a production team
• High School Diploma or GED required; experience can be considered

• Stand and walk for up to 12 hours, with frequent bending, kneeling, and reaching
• Must be able to lift, push, or pull up to 50 pounds
• Perform repetitive motions in a fast-paced production environment

Security Clearance: Amsive is a Federal Contractor, and this position may require government security clearance for certain projects.
