Community Concepts is seeking a Customer Service Specialist- Welcome Desk. This position is based in our Lewiston Office, with occasional travel to our South Paris or Rumford Offices and is 40hrs/week.

About the Role:

We’re looking for a warm, organized, and empathetic individual to be the first point of contact for anyone who visits our organization. In this role, you’ll help community members and families access programs like fuel assistance, behavioral health services, Head Start, and more. Your presence helps people feel seen, supported, and guided toward programs and services available.

Essential Duties:

  • Greet customers in person, on the phone, or correspondence through email with a professional, compassionate, and pleasant manner at all times
  • Keep current with all program services and activities information, as well as researching other available community resources and programs to be able to provide information and referrals as needed
  • Maintain and communicate security and safety of staff and visitors by tracking visitor logs, announcing visitors to staff as they are directed to appropriate locations, ensure signage for building closures are posted appropriately, and respond quickly and appropriately to incidents within the reception area, building, and parking lots.
  • Adhere to the Agency’s Customer Service Standards to ensure customers, visitors, and staff receive the best possible service

Starting Pay Range: $17.50-$18.00 per hour

Desired Qualifications:

  • Associate’s Degree in Secretarial Science or Human Services preferred; High School Diploma or GED required
  • 3 years’ experience with customer service
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
