This is a scientifically driven and strategically oriented role focused on transforming complex medical and clinical data into high-quality, impactful communication materials that support improved patient outcomes. You will contribute to the development of evidence-based content across multiple therapeutic areas, ensuring scientific accuracy, strategic alignment, and editorial excellence. Working closely with scientific directors, account teams, and clients, you will help translate evolving research into clear, actionable medical communications. The role combines deep scientific interpretation with hands-on content development and cross-functional collaboration in a fast-paced agency environment. You will also engage with key opinion leaders and external stakeholders to ensure content reflects the latest clinical insights and market developments. This position is ideal for a detail-oriented scientific communicator passionate about advancing healthcare through high-quality medical education and strategy.
- Develop, review, and refine scientific content to ensure accuracy, clarity, and alignment with client strategic objectives and editorial standards.
- Interpret complex medical and clinical data, supporting the creation of evidence-based communication materials across therapeutic areas.
- Collaborate with scientific directors, medical writers, editors, and design teams to ensure high-quality content development.
- Act as a scientific lead or contributor in discussions with clients, authors, and key opinion leaders.
- Manage timelines, workflows, and content development processes to ensure timely and high-quality delivery.
- Conduct literature reviews and stay current with emerging research, competitor activity, and therapeutic advancements.
- Oversee or support regulatory and compliance review processes for assigned projects.
- Mentor and guide junior medical writers, contributing to team development and quality standards.
- Support advisory board meetings, strategic planning, and client presentations as needed.
- Contribute to business development activities, including identifying opportunities and supporting pitch development.
- Advanced degree in life sciences (MD, PhD, or PharmD required).
- 2–3+ years of experience in a medical communications agency or similar environment.
- Strong background in scientific and medical writing with the ability to interpret complex clinical data.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with high attention to scientific and editorial detail.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong collaboration skills with experience working across multidisciplinary teams and clients.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools and reference management software (e.g., EndNote).
- Ability to engage professionally with clients, clinicians, and key opinion leaders.
