POSITION SUMMARY
This person will be responsible for supporting maintenance operations by assisting with the repair, installation, and upkeep of manufacturing equipment and facility systems. Additionally, this person will help ensure all production equipment operates efficiently to support plant throughput and safety standards.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS and RESPONSIBILITIES
• Assist with repairing and installing mill, slitting, shearing, furnace, and other production equipment
• Perform routine building maintenance and repairs
• Assist with changing roll assemblies, including disconnecting lines, removing assemblies, and installing replacements
• Assist with chock roll assembly removal and installation on refinished rolls
• Perform chock maintenance including repairing lines, replacing seals, and maintaining bearings and piston assemblies
• Support maintenance of tension mill leaders including replacement, repair, and fabrication of new assemblies
• Assist other maintenance teams with preventative maintenance activities
• Operate lift equipment to move and position materials and equipment safely
• Follow all safety regulations and maintain high quality standards
• Support ISO production methods to ensure consistent product quality and understand process impacts on final output
• Utilize ERP systems to track maintenance hours, work orders, and parts usage
• Use SAP or similar systems to track spare parts inventory and usage
• Maintain equipment in safe and efficient operating condition
• Identify and support preventative maintenance routines
• Exercise sound judgment when determining repair priorities, equipment shutdowns, and maintenance timelines
• Perform other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS
• High school diploma or GED required; vocational or technical training preferred
• 1–2 years of maintenance experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment
• Basic math skills required
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, layouts, and tolerances
• Experience using measuring equipment
• Welding and fabrication knowledge preferred
• Basic computer skills required
• Ability to make decisions regarding equipment repair, downtime, and production impact
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently

PHYSICAL DEMANDS and WORK ENVIRONMENT
• Routinely performs duties in a manufacturing and industrial environment
• Must be able to stand, walk, and move for extended periods during a full shift
• Must be able to lift, move, and position equipment and materials
• Must be able to bend, reach, and perform repetitive tasks
• Exposure to manufacturing conditions including noise, heat, and moving equipment
• Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE)
