Pay Range: $20 - $26/per hour (based on experience)
Pacific Coast Producers (PCP), a growing agricultural cooperative with food production facilities across the West Coast, is seeking Seasonal Operations Supervisor to join it's team at the Lomo Field Station in Live Oak, CA. The Seasonal Operations Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily sizer and grading operations to ensure efficient, accurate, and high-quality sizing pears. This role manages operator staff, maintains food safety and quality standards, and ensures production goals are met safely and on schedule.
Primary Responsibilities
- Supervise daily operations of pear sizing, grading, and mechanical input/output
- Operate the sizer equipment to accurately sort and grade fruits according to company standards.
- Ensure accurate sizing, grading, and labeling according to company specifications
- Assign, train, and evaluate sizer line employees
- Enforce food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety standards
- Track production rates, downtime, and labor efficiency
- Troubleshoot equipment and coordination with maintenance staff as needed
- Ensure proper documentation and recordkeeping
- Communicate production goals and performance expectations to crew
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Ensure sizer is running prior to the start of the morning shift
- Support continuous improvement initiatives
Qualifications & Requirements
- Supervise General Experience in PLC, sensors, dump robotics and automations
- Previous experience in fruit packaging, produce processing, or agricultural operations
- Basic computer skills (Excel, production systems, and data entry)
- Ability to lead and motivate diverse teams
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Prior supervisory or lead experience (preferred)
- Knowledge of pear sizing, grading, and packing standards (preferred)
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
Physical Requirements
- Frequent physical activity includes sitting, walking, using a keyboard, touching, hearing, and speaking.
- Moderate physical activity includes standing, stooping, lifting, and carrying up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to climb stairs and work around machinery.
