Force Building Services is seeking a skilled and experienced Maintenance Technician II to perform and oversee operations across Nevada and nearby states. The ideal candidate will bring hands-on expertise in construction, trades, and/or maintenance, strong leadership skills, and the ability to effectively manage and train teams.

This role involves up to 50% travel and requires the ability to perform on-site work, collect estimates, and provide project oversight. Candidates must be committed to quality, organization, and efficiency, with a proven ability to deliver projects with minimal re-work and generate estimates with detailed scopes of work. Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee and manage construction and maintenance projects within the assigned region, ensuring high-quality execution.
  • Perform on-site work such as general maintenance repairs and construction projects (within your field of knowledge).
  • Collect estimates, review project scopes, and generate accurate reports.
  • Onboard, train, and mentor team members to enhance their skills, efficiency, and adherence to company standards.
  • Develop, monitor, and manage project schedules and budgets to ensure timely and efficient delivery.
  • Communicate regularly with clients, vendors, and team members to maintain alignment and transparency.
  • Prepare and maintain detailed project records, including notes, schedules, cost estimates, receipts, and progress reports.
  • Conduct regular site visits to strengthen client relationships, acquire new work opportunities, and ensure quality.
  • Enforce all safety standards and protocols, working closely with clients’ safety managers as needed.
  • Assist with material and equipment orders, tool tracking, and vehicle maintenance, ensuring accuracy.
  • Oversee multiple ongoing projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines and maintaining standards.
  • Partner with other departments to coordinate technicians and support project completion.
Required Qualifications
  • Proficiency in a skilled trade relevant to the position, with verifiable experience or certifications.
  • Proficient in software systems such as Google Suite, Service Fusion, Paylocity, or similar, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Proven hands-on construction experience with the ability to perform physical tasks when necessary.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Familiarity with local contractors, suppliers, and construction regulations in Nevada, California, and Arizona.
  • Willingness to travel 50% of the time, with flexibility for additional regional travel.
  • Effective problem-solving skills and the ability to leverage available resources to complete jobs efficiently.

Requirements:
  • Proven experience in maintenance operations, with a minimum of 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a diverse team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective client and team interactions.
  • Demonstrated ability to oversee multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of OSHA regulations and commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
  • Able to pass a background screening and have a clean driving record.
  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of five years of maintenance experience is required.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to work in various settings, including on-site visits to projects.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Ability to stand, walk, climb stairs or ladders, and lift heavy equipment as needed.
  • Must be able to push, pull and/or lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to stand, walk, and climb ladders or stairs for extended periods.
  • Must be able to wear PPE for extended periods.
