Remote Accounting Manager

This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Remote Accounting Manager. In this role, you will be integral to overseeing the financial operations across various regions, particularly within the Nordic subsidiaries. Your expertise will allow for the accurate preparation of management accounts and compliance with regulatory standards. You will lead a talented team, ensuring a collaborative approach towards achieving financial excellence and operational efficiencies. Your contributions will directly impact the organization's success in providing health solutions globally.Accountabilities
  • Responsible for the General Ledger, Sales Ledger and Purchase Ledger
  • Oversight and coordination of group reporting on a monthly basis
  • Balance sheet reconciliation and review
  • Prepayments and accruals management
  • Intercompany reconciliations
  • Reviewing and approving journals
  • Cost Centre reporting and allocation
  • Payroll review and cash management
  • Management and development of the Finance team
  • Collaborate with teams across Northern and Western Europe
  • Coordinate with the Group GAC team
  • Ensure SOX and compliance reporting
  • Prepare statutory accounts and manage annual audits
  • Enhance and document current processes and controls
  • Handle other ad-hoc projects
Requirements
  • Degree or equivalent in Accounting or Finance
  • CPA (Certified Public Accountant) or equivalent certification preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years of cumulative experience in accounting role
  • Proficiency in utilizing the D365 system is a plus
  • Fully qualified accountant with knowledge of country-specific GAAP and US GAAP
  • Advanced level knowledge of Excel
  • Strong analytical and numeracy skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to assimilate and summarize financial information
  • Strategic and commercial acumen with a hands-on approach
  • Excellent people skills, with experience in diverse teams
  • Experience working with Shared Service Centre and matrix organizations
  • Demonstrated experience in financial management and accounting
  • Experience with legal, audit, compliance, budget, and resource development
  • Resourcefulness in setting priorities and proposing efficiencies
  • Proven effectiveness leading finance and accounting professionals
  • Experience managing teams across different locations is desirable
  • Technologically savvy, with experience working with IT staff on process improvements
