Executive Assistant (Accounting Firm)
Job Title: Executive AssistantLocation: Montgomery Village MD Employment Type: Full Time, Direct Hire
Overview: We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Executive Assistant to provide high-level administrative support to senior leadership. The ideal candidate will bring prior experience from a professional services environment, such as an accounting firm, financial services company, or banking institution, and will be comfortable working in a fast-paced, detail-driven setting where confidentiality, accuracy, and professionalism are critical.This role requires exceptional organizational skills, strong judgment, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while supporting executives and contributing to overall operational efficiency.
Key ResponsibilitiesProvide comprehensive administrative support to executives, including calendar management, meeting coordination, and travel arrangementsServe as a primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, ensuring professional and timely communicationPrepare, review, and edit correspondence, reports, presentations, and other business documentsManage confidential and sensitive information with the highest level of discretionCoordinate meetings, including agenda preparation, materials distribution, note-taking, and follow-up on action itemsAssist with expense reporting, invoicing, and other administrative processes common to financial or accounting environmentsSupport project coordination and special initiatives as assigned by leadershipMaintain organized digital and physical filing systems in compliance with firm policiesAnticipate executive needs and proactively resolve administrative or logistical issues
Required Qualifications3+ years of experience as an Executive Assistant, Administrative Assistant, or similar rolePrior experience working in an accounting firm, financial services company, banking institution, or similar professional services environmentStrong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint); experience with document management systems is a plusExcellent written and verbal communication skillsExceptional attention to detail and organizational skillsAbility to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environmentHigh level of professionalism, discretion, and judgment
Preferred QualificationsExperience supporting senior executives or partnersFamiliarity with compliance-driven or regulated environmentsExperience handling client-facing communicationsAssociates or Bachelors degree preferred
