Travel: Up to 10% domestically.

Hyperion Solutions is a technology driven vertical transportation solution with facilities around the United States. Hyperion Solutions connects trusted and respected brands to create the premier integrated provider of Systems & Components, and Technical Services for the Vertical Transportation industry.
Hyperion Solutions is currently seeking an experienced Plant (Site) Manager to lead our Los Angeles team, supporting our Elevator Equipment Corporation (EECO) brand. Reporting to the VP/GM of the Manufacturing Sector, this position is responsible for leading all day-to-day operations at the facility, including Production, Safety, Quality, Production / Delivery, Inventory / Supply Chain, Facilities, Customer Care and Inside Sales. The role will also have dotted line leadership of the on-site Engineering staff. This role ensures operational excellence, develops high-performing teams, and drives continuous improvement, safety, on-time delivery, and customer satisfaction.
Primary Responsibilities:
Plant Operations and Production Management o Continuously improve the culture of the team. o Lead all day-to-day manufacturing operations, including safety, quality, production, shipping and receiving, materials flow, and facility oversight. o Translate business objectives into plant-level execution plans and performance goals. o Monitor production schedules, capacity, and on-time delivery; implement corrective actions as needed. o Manage and allocate resources (people, equipment, materials) to ensure efficient, high-quality output. o Coordinate supply chain and engineering teams to support production planning and execution.
Quality and Continuous Improvement o Establish and sustain a culture where quality is embedded in all processes and behaviors. o Ensure products meet or exceed customer expectations through strong quality systems and controls. o Lead root cause analysis, corrective actions, and reduction of scrap and rework. o Drive Lean Manufacturing initiatives, including 5S, standard work, waste reduction, and flow improvements. o Collaborate cross-functionally to implement best practices and measurable performance improvements.
Leadership & People Development o Lead, coach, and develop supervisors, and department managers. o Foster a positive, accountable, and engaged work environment. o Ensure effective onboarding, training, cross-training, and succession planning. o Drive performance management, employee development, and retention efforts. o Model Hyperions values and lead change initiatives at the site level.
Health, Safety & Compliance o Own site-level safety performance and promote a proactive, prevention-focused safety culture. o Ensure compliance with OSHA, environmental, and company safety standards. o Lead safety training, audits, and corrective actions to maintain a safe work environment.
Customer & Performance Management o Lead customer-facing teams to support delivery commitments and resolve site-level issues. o Monitor and manage key performance indicators (KPIs) related to safety, quality, delivery, cost, and engagement. o Analyze performance trends and implement action plans to close gaps and improve results.
Facilities & Equipment management o Oversee facility operations, equipment reliability, and preventive maintenance programs. o Ensure equipment uptime and coordinate repairs and capital improvement needs. o Maintain a safe, organized, and efficient plant environment.
Additional Responsibilities o Partner with Finance, HR, Engineering, and the Business Development team through matrix relationships to support site performance. o Support new product introductions, process changes, and growth initiatives.
Perform all other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements:
BS/BA in Engineering, Operations Management, Business Administration, or equivalent experience required.
7+ years of manufacturing operations experience, including multi-function plant leadership.
Prior experience leading supervisors or managers required.
Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, quality systems, inventory management, and Lean Manufacturing principles (including Toyota Production System), with hands-on experience leading structured problem-solving methodologies such as Shainin, 5 Whys, and 8D.
Prior Plant Manager or senior operations leadership experience within the elevator industry or other highly engineered products, overseeing machining, welding, and assembly operations in a high-mix, low-volume manufacturing environment, strongly preferred.
