Metergy office location is in Markham but will be moving to North York in Fall 2026!
Position Summary As the Manager, Finance & Operations, you will play a crucial role in stewarding the financial health of our organization by focusing on optimizing working capital, building strategies to collect outstanding receivables, and managing customer credit. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership qualities, exceptional analytical skills, and an understanding of accounting principles. The candidate will lead a high-performing team to develop standards, practices, tools, and KPI measures to meaningfully improve cash and liquidity for the business. Key Responsibilities

- Strategy Development: Design, implement, and analyze data-driven strategies and collection campaigns to maximize recovery of outstanding receivables and improve cash flow
- Process Improvement: Analyze end-to-end operations to identify inefficiencies and implement improvements to enhance Metergys operations to continuously improve collection rates and liquidity profile
- TeamLeadership: Cultivate a collaborative and innovative team culture that drives continuous improvement and operational excellence through measurable results
- Compliance & Quality Control: Ensure all operations align with legal, regulatory, and ethical standards for debt collection while maintaining strong quality controls
- Reporting & Analytics: Monitor key performance metrics (Recovery rate, Delinquency trends, Agent productivity) and present actionable insights to leadership that drive efficiency and accountability.
- Vendor and Customer Management: Oversee third party vendors and perform performance evaluation of third party vendors using qualitative and quantitative metrics; adjust and execute collection strategies to improve cash position
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Finance, Revenue Assurance, and Customer Success to align collections with broader company goals
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- CPA or equivalent designation preferred
- Two (2) Five (5) years in a startup or high-growth company preferred.
- Familiarity working in a regulated industry
- Experience managing high-performance teams and building a culture of excellence
- Proficiency in developing, implementing and evaluating strategies through data driven insights
- Experience with data analytics and visualization skills (VBA, PowerBI, PowerQuery)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to manage internal and external parties
- Ability to collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Finance, and Customer Success to improve payment outcomes
- Demonstrated record of process improvement and automation initiatives.
