Overview

Claims Systems Analyst Objective

To assure prompt and efficient processing of all claims input/output through the claim processing systems. To lead and/or assist on claim-related projects, including testing, procedures and training. To act as a resource to all Claim areas in policy coverage verification to ensure claims are properly paid. To assist Home Office and field personnel with questions and problems, regarding the claim processing systems. To assure statistics are being collected on claims for proper insurance rate adjustment.



Responsibilities

Claims Systems Analyst Responsibilities

Act as Help Desk support for the entire Claim Division as it relates to claim processing systems, tax reporting, problem reporting software, Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and Mobius, Internet and e-mail, as well as divisional equipment.

Verify claim source documents on claim registers to ensure proper processing.

Balance reports between ClaimCenter and PMSC to ensure systems are reporting correctly. Investigate and correct any out-of-balance situations between ClaimCenter and PMSC. Notify various Claim personnel of coverage or no-coverage situations.

Complete activities consciously and timely in ClaimCenter with specific requests or tasks.



Qualifications
Claims Systems Analyst Qualifications

Required

Bachelor’s degree required, or equivalent experience may be considered.

Minimum one to three years’ experience in a claims or data processing environment required.

Experienced computer usage and proven skills in Microsoft Word and Excel required.

Keyboarding skills with accuracy required.

Willingness to pursue continuing job-related training and education required.

Must possess outstanding listening and superior customer service skills.

Preferred

Knowledge of Farm Bureau's policy contracts preferred.

Note: Selected candidates will be required to work at the Farm Bureau Home Office located in Lansing, Michigan one day per week. This is a Hybrid position working both in the Farm Bureau Home Office (Lansing, Michigan) and remotely.
