About This Position

Description:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Homeschool Registrar to join our educational support team. This role is vital in ensuring the smooth operation of homeschooling programs by managing student records, compliance, and communication with families. Terms of Employment

Full-time, Non-exempt (32 hours/week, 4 days/week, 225 days/year)

Requirements:
  • Homeschool experience required.
  • 3-5 years Office Manager, Administrative Assistant or Business Office experience.
  • Proficient in Excel, Word, PowerSchool, Google Classroom, Mail Chimp and Canva and other online creative sites.
  • Experience designing Google forms or other forms to use for online registration.
  • Excellent communication skills, including staff training and presentations.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Database/data entry experience required; working knowledge of PowerSchool a plus.
  • Ability to understand and manage the complexities of homeschool enrollment, collect fees, etc.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks, work independently, make sound decisions in a fast-paced atmosphere.
  • Ability to establish and maintain good interpersonal relationships with parents, students and staff.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Effectively represent RMCA, its program, policies and philosophy to the homeschool community.
  • Follows the grievance policy as outline in the Employee Handbook in dealing with conflict with student, parents, staff and administration.
  • Know the procedures for dealing with issues of an emergency nature.
  • Work as team with other staff, maintaining a supportive and encouraging relationship with other teachers, and assisting in the development/implementation of programs/processes to enhance the homeschool enrollment process.
  • Seek the counsel of the administration and colleagues, while maintaining a teachable attitude.
  • Regularly attend and participate in all school staff meetings and trainings.
  • Complete all facets of the enrollment process for new and returning students including creation of all required paperwork for online registration.
  • Accurate data entry for new and returning students.
  • Maintain student cumulative files.
  • Answer in-coming calls regarding enrollment.
  • Conduct tours of campus and assist with information for prospective students and parents.
  • Work with District 49 and PowerSchool tech support to ensure all October reports and state reporting is complete and on time.
  • Process student withdrawals; forward files to new school.
  • Communicate with Director and staff regarding roster changes.
