Registered Nurse Intern (Student position) at Cass County Memorial Hospital – Atlantic, Iowa

Cass Health is currently seeking individuals who are enrolled in or planning to enroll in a bachelor’s level nursing program to join our team as a Registered Nurse (RN) Intern. This internship program provides hands-on experience in a clinical setting, allowing participants to apply classroom knowledge while working alongside experienced nursing professionals. RN Interns will assist in various nursing departments, gaining valuable skills and exposure to patient care as they progress through their nursing education.

Participants must be enrolled in or plan to enroll in a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program at an accredited college or university. Completion of Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) training and certification is required or must be planned prior to starting the internship.

Overview

The Nurse Intern position provides an opportunity for nursing students to relate nursing theory to practice, gain experience with clinical skills, and utilize the nursing process to provide effective patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse. The Cass Health Internship Program provides opportunities in a variety of settings to create a well-rounded educational experience.

This program will begin June 1st, 2025, and end August 7th, 2025. This 10-week program will allow nursing interns to work up to 240 hours with competitive wages. We have day shift and night shift opportunities available.

Requirements

Must be a junior or senior at a 4-year nursing program or going into your last semester of a 2-year nursing program.

Must have CNA certification.

Approved interns will be notified and need to accept by February 27th, 2026.
