POSITION SUMMARY

McCarthy Building Companies is hiring for aYard laborer out of our Chandler, AZ Yard.This position will report directly to the Yard Assistant Manager and will provide support for the field operations through equipment operation and delivery of supplies to and from the yard and/or vendors to job sites. This role is also responsible for the organization and upkeep of the yard, as well as various material handling and preparation activities related to the construction industry.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Must be able to operate forklift.
Loading/unloading of supplies from trucks and trailers, at times utilizing equipment to accomplish tasks.
Cleaning and organizing miscellaneous construction equipment/materials
Communicating with key team members to ensure timely and accurate deliveries are consistently achieved.
General outdoor maintenance of yard exterior and warehouse
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the yard.
Ensure all safety protocols are followed in the yard and while operating McCarthy vehicles
Daily Coordination Meetings.
Daily Task Hazard Analysis Meeting prior to the start of work.
Yard Safety Meetings (as scheduled).

QUALIFICATIONS

Must possess a current and valid drivers license
Ability to lift 50 lbs. Work is primarily conducted outdoors and in a delivery vehicle
Excellent communication, organizational, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
Prior experience operating a forklift.
Any experience working in a construction yard or similar environment is a plus.
Ability to operate heavy equipment for loading and unloading of supplies is a plus.
Ability to tow and back a trailer is a plus.
