Work schedule: Monday - Friday, 6:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m., Saturday's required during our peak season.
Summary
Operates semi-automatic bulk depalletizer and forklift to deliver glass to filling machine.
Duties and Responsibilities
Essential Functions
- Sets up and operates semi-automatic depalletizer, jar rinser, spice dispenser and all associated jar conveyors.
- Completes Glass Usage Report and Glass Breakage Report daily.
- Follows safety rules and company policies.
Other Duties
- Performs some duties of FL Operator, Uncaser, Packer/Laborer and/or Packing Machine Operator on occasion.
- Cleans work area.
- Participates in training, employee meetings, committees, project teams, etc. as appropriate.
- Receives written instructions from packing schedule or verbal instructions from supervisor on above tasks and performs other work as directed by supervisor.

Depalletizing machinery, glass unscrambler, hand tools.
Physical Demands
- Reaching: Extending hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction.
- Standing: Particularly for sustained periods of time.
- Pushing: Using upper extremities to press against something with steady force in order to thrust forward, downward, or outward.
- Lifting: Raising objects from a lower to a higher position or moving objects horizontal from position-to-position. This factor is important if it occurs to a considerable degree and requires the substantial use of the upper extremities and back muscles.
- Fingering: Picking, pinching, typing or otherwise working, primarily with fingers rather than with the whole hand or arm in handling.
- Grasping: Applying pressure to an object with the fingers and palm.
- Repetitive Motions: Substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
- Medium Work: Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
- The worker is required to have visual acuity to determine the accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of the work assigned (ie., custodial, food services, general laborer, etc.) or to make general observations of facilities or structures (i.e., security guard, inspection, etc.)
Work Environment
Works inside, subject to some seasonal temperature variations and intermittent wetting from some job tasks. Fumes from hot pepper and forklifts. Earplugs required because of irritating machinery noise. Some contact with grease. Head cover and beard cover required.
Requirements:High school plus additional training preferred. Ability to read and write in English needed for job tasks.
