About the Role:

The Assistant Restaurant Manager plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the restaurant by supporting the overall management team. This position is responsible for overseeing daily activities, service quality, and customer satisfaction, to maintain high standards. The Assistant Manager works closely with staff to expedite food orders, manage inventory, and resolve any operational challenges promptly. They contribute to fostering a positive work environment by leading and motivating team members, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. Ultimately, this role aims to enhance the guest experience while driving operational excellence and profitability within the accommodation and food services industry.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in a supervisory or assistant management role within the food and beverage industry.
  • Proficiency with point of sale (POS) systems.
  • Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
  • Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Experience in expediting food in a high-volume restaurant environment.
  • Leadership training or certification in food and beverage management.
  • Familiarity with inventory management software.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead diverse teams and improve operational efficiency.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Restaurant Manager in daily operational management and staff supervision.
  • Coordinate and expedite food orders to ensure timely and accurate delivery to guests.
  • Oversee point of sale (POS) transactions and ensure accuracy in billing and cash handling.
  • Support food and beverage leadership by training and mentoring team members on service standards and operational procedures.
  • Address and resolve customer inquiries and complaints with professionalism and efficiency.
  • Monitor inventory levels and assist in ordering supplies to maintain optimal stock.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation standards throughout the restaurant.
  • Collaborate with kitchen and service staff to maintain seamless communication and workflow.
