JOB DESCRIPTION
Nursing Team Lead (LPN / Paramedic)
I. Job Summary / Job Purpose (Safety-Sensitive Position) Under the direction of the Nurse Manager, the Nursing Team Lead functions as a clinical expert, mentor, and resource person for the clinic nursing staff. This role acts as a primary liaison between the Nurse Manager and the nursing team, managing daily operations, staffing, and patient flow to ensure high-quality, patient-centered care. The Nursing Team Lead ensures clinical compliance, efficient workflows, and supports staff training, development, and engagement, while maintaining a high standard of clinical care.
II. Key Responsibilities
? Clinical Leadership: Oversee daily clinical operations for assigned Department or Practices, manage nursing schedules, and coordinate staff assignments to ensure optimal patient flow and coverage.
? Staff Mentorship: Coach and provide real-time performance feedback to staff, correcting workflow or documentation errors on the spot. Serve as a resource for Medical Assistants and LPNs, providing guidance on clinical protocols, EMR documentation, and best practices.
? Staff Training: Facilitate new staff orientation, training, and competency validation. Validate competency for tasks (e.g., point-of-care testing, device downloads, or other department specific procedures), and provide ongoing training refreshers. Provide training and validate competency for all team members on new processes
? Patient Care: Perform general nursing care by following established standards and procedures, including obtaining vital signs, administering medications/vaccinations (oral, injection, topical, etc.), and performing routine tests.
? Triage & Coordination: Assist with complex patient triage, communicate test results and plans of care to patients as directed by physicians, and ensure follow-up testing is completed.
? Quality & Compliance: Ensure clinical safety checklists and quality controls are completed; maintain sterilized equipment and oversee the stocking and cleanliness of exam rooms.
? Administrative Support: Assist the Practice Manager with clinical supply ordering, staff competency assessments, and the implementation of new clinical policies.

IV. Job Requirements / Qualifications
? Education: Graduate from an accredited school of nursing or paramedic program.
? Licensure: Active Arkansas Nursing or Paramedic License (LPN or EMS) in good standing.
? Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) required; ACLS preferred.
? Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of clinical experience in an outpatient or primary care setting; prior supervisory or "lead" experience preferred.
V. Physical Requirements
? Ability to stand, walk, and remain active throughout the clinic for extended periods.
? Ability to lift, push, or pull patients and medical equipment as required by the physical nature of patient care.
