Summary:
The primary function of this position is to lead, develop, and continuously improve trucking operations of 3 Midland Garage Door locations to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality deliveries while maintaining full DOT compliance and strong customer service.
Essential Duties:
- Hire, train, lead, and develop a team of drivers
- Oversee daily trucking operations to ensure on-time and accurate deliveries
- Manage fleet maintenance and ensure all equipment meets DOT standards
- Optimize routes, control costs, and improve operational efficiency
- Partner with sales and leadership to support customer needs and growth
- Monitor key performance metrics including delivery performance and cost per mile
- Ensure compliance with DOT and state transportation regulations
- Coordinate delivery routing and job site access
- Build strong relationships across departments and with customers
- Conduct safety training and promote a culture of safe operations
- Step in to drive routes as needed for coverage or emergencies
Requirements:
- Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record
- Proven truck driving experience
- Ability to lift and move garage doors/components as part of deliveries
- Mountain driving experience preferred
- Must pass DOT physical
