Job Overview:

The Pre-Admissions Medical Assistant will provide participant care support in the Pre-Admission Testing and assist with coordination of efficient operations.

Qualifications:

Required:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Current phlebotomy and EKG skills
• Knowledge of medical terminology
• Ability to organize, problem solve, critically think, effectively communicate and set priorities

Preferred:

• At least 6-month experience
• Knowledge of electronic medical record (EMR) systems

Certifications and Licenses Required:

• BLS Certification approved by the American Heart Association
• Medical Assistant Certification: AAMA, AECA, AMCA, AMT, NAHP, NCCT, NCMA, or NHA

Scheduling Requirements:

• 7:00am – 3:30pm
• Monday - Friday
• Full-Time

Essential Functions:

• Work closely with nursing to provide support to Pre-Admission Testing
• Assist with vital signs, weights, preparation for examination and/or treatment
• May be asked to provide some secretarial and receptionist support to the Pre-Admission Testing team
• Place orders and complete blood draws, other specimen collection as applicable, and perform EKGs when needed
• Other duties as assigned
