Sandwich Artist at Subway - Wisconsin Subs LLC – Chetek, Wisconsin

Job Summary:
A Sandwich Artist creates a welcoming and enjoyable experience for customers by preparing fresh, delicious sandwiches and providing excellent customer service. This role involves maintaining cleanliness, following food safety standards, and contributing to the overall success of the restaurant.

Key Responsibilities:

Customer Service:
- Greet customers with a friendly and positive attitude.
- Take orders accurately and answer questions about menu items.
- Handle customer complaints professionally and ensure customer satisfaction.

Food Preparation:
- Prepare sandwiches, salads, and other menu items according to Subway's recipes and standards.
- Ensure ingredients are fresh, properly portioned, and arranged attractively.
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and effectively.

Store Maintenance:
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, including food preparation stations and dining areas.
- Wash dishes, utensils, and equipment as needed.
- Follow proper food safety and hygiene protocols, including glove use, handwashing, and temperature checks.

Inventory and Stocking:
- Monitor ingredient levels and replenish supplies as needed.
- Assist with inventory checks and ensure proper storage of ingredients.

Cash Handling:
- Operate the cash register and handle transactions accurately.
- Ensure proper handling of customer payments, including cash, credit cards, and gift cards.

Teamwork:
- Collaborate with fellow team members to ensure efficient operations and a positive work environment.
- Assist with training new employees as needed.

Qualifications:

Education & Experience:
- Previous experience in food service or customer service (a plus but not required).

Skills & Abilities:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to food quality.
- Basic math skills for handling cash and making change.

Other Requirements:
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform tasks requiring repetitive motion.
- Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds.
- Availability to work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
