đź’™ About the Role

PanCare of Florida is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our School Telehealth Program. In this role, you will provide direct nursing care to students in a school-based setting while supporting telehealth visits conducted by licensed providers.

You’ll play a vital role in promoting a safe, healthy learning environment by delivering essential clinical services, assisting with virtual provider visits, and supporting students’ physical well-being throughout the school day. This position is ideal for nurses who are passionate about working with children, value collaboration, and want to make a meaningful impact in their community.

Hours: Seasonal Full Time: Monday through Friday from 7:30am to 3:30pm (Onsite)

What You’ll Do

In this role, you will:

  • Provide direct nursing care to students under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or licensed provider
  • Administer prescribed medications and treatmentsin accordance withnursing standards and provider orders
  • Assistproviders during telehealth visits, exams, treatments, and clinical assessments
  • Prepare students for examinations, screenings, and telehealth encounters
  • Collect specimens including blood draws and urine samples, as appropriate
  • Observe, document, and report student conditions, responses to medications, and treatment outcomes
  • Maintainaccurate,timelydocumentation in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR)
  • Supporttimelyand efficient student flow throughout the school clinic
  • Prepare andmaintainexam rooms, including stocking supplies and equipment
  • Arrange diagnostic testing andassistwith referrals and follow-up documentation
  • Participate in CLIA, OSHA, and infection-control compliance activities
  • Monitor emergency kits, medical equipment, medications, and supplies
  • Maintain required UDS tracking and reporting documentation
  • Participate in professional development and required training
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support school health services

Required Skills & Competencies

  • General nursing care and clinical assessments
  • Medication administration and treatment support
  • Specimen collection (blood draw, urine collection, screenings)
  • Strong documentation and EMRproficiency
  • Knowledge of infection control, safety, and compliance standards
  • Effective communication with students, families, providers, and school staff
  • Ability tomaintainconfidentiality and HIPAA compliance
  • Time management and ability to work independently in a school setting

Education & Experience

  • Active Florida LPN licensurein accordance withFlorida Statute 464
    —or— eligibility to practice nursing under FAC 210-8.22 or 8.27
  • Minimum of 1 year of clinical nursing experience preferred
  • Current BLS certificationrequired
  • Experience working with pediatric populations or in school-based settings preferred

Physical Requirements

This role requires:

  • Standing and walking throughout the school day
  • Occasionallifting upto 25–30 lbs. (equipment, supplies, emergency kits)
  • Manual dexterity for clinical procedures, documentation, and equipment use
  • Ability to bend, reach, andassiststudents during care delivery
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced school healthcare environment
