About the Role

We’re looking for a Vice President, Real Estate to lead the strategy and execution of a growing national portfolio across a multi-site healthcare platform.

This role is responsible for the full real estate lifecycle, including lease negotiations, construction delivery, and facilities management. You will oversee both expansion and optimization of the existing footprint, ensuring clinics are well-located, efficiently built, and consistently maintained across markets.

Operating at both a strategic and executional level, you will partner closely with senior leadership and cross-functional teams to align real estate decisions with business priorities. This includes supporting acquisition integration, evaluating de novo opportunities, and driving disciplined capital deployment across the portfolio.

The mandate also includes building and scaling internal capabilities across real estate, construction, and facilities, establishing the processes, vendor networks, and operating structure required to support continued growth.

Your Impact

This role will shape how 123Dentist expands and operates its national clinic footprint. You’ll influence where the business grows, how capital is deployed, and how consistently clinics are delivered and maintained across markets. The work directly impacts expansion pace, cost efficiency, and the overall quality of the clinic network.

What You’ll Do

  • Develop and execute a national real estate strategy aligned with growth and expansion plans
  • Lead all lease negotiations and portfolio management, including renewals, amendments, and landlord relationships
  • Optimize occupancy costs through effective negotiation and portfolio planning
  • Oversee clinic construction projects from design through delivery, ensuring timelines and budgets are met
  • Establish standardized design and build processes to drive consistency and efficiency
  • Manage vendors, contractors, and external partners across construction and facilities
  • Own the capital expenditure budget, including planning, forecasting, and investment cases
  • Oversee facilities management, including maintenance programs, vendor performance, and service delivery
  • Identify and evaluate new clinic opportunities, including site selection, feasibility, and market analysis
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and regulatory requirements
  • Track and report on key performance metrics across construction and facilities
  • Build and lead a national real estate, construction, and facilities team

What You Bring

  • 10+ years of experience in commercial real estate, including leadership experience in multi-site environments
  • Experience managing national or regional portfolios in retail, healthcare, or similar sectors
  • Strong track record of negotiating commercial leases in Canada
  • Knowledge of construction processes, permitting, and regulations across multiple jurisdictions
  • Experience managing capital budgets, forecasting, and investment decisions
  • Experience leading teams and working with brokers, contractors, and external partners
  • Strong organizational and project management capabilities
