- Conduct security assessments to identify vulnerabilities and gaps in system, network, and application architectures
- Implement, manage, and optimize security tools including EDR, NSM, vulnerability management, and access control systems
- Support incident response activities, including threat containment, eradication, and recovery efforts
- Maintain and update security documentation, ensuring alignment with system configurations and compliance requirements
- Deploy and secure cloud and on-premises environments, including compliance-driven infrastructures
- Monitor and remediate vulnerabilities, ensuring appropriate mitigation plans and risk reduction strategies are in place
- Configure and manage network security components such as firewalls, routers, switches, and access control lists
- Analyze network traffic to detect anomalies and potential threats, collaborating with broader security teams for validation
- Support compliance initiatives by enforcing security standards, controls, and monitoring processes
- Contribute to the design and implementation of secure systems, policies, and defense-in-depth strategies
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in cybersecurity engineering or related roles with overlapping responsibilities
- Strong expertise in cloud and hybrid environments, particularly Microsoft GCC High or similar secure infrastructures
- Hands-on experience with security technologies such as EDR, MDR/XDR, NAC, MDM, vulnerability management, and threat detection tools
- Advanced knowledge of networking principles, system administration, and modern operating system environments
- Familiarity with compliance frameworks and security best practices in regulated environments
- Ability to manage and secure infrastructure through configuration, monitoring, and automation
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong documentation capabilities
- High attention to detail, problem-solving mindset, and ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Relevant certifications or formal education in cybersecurity, IT, or related fields preferred
- Must meet eligibility requirements to work within regulated environments (e.g., U.S. person status where applicable)
