Wound Care Coordinator (RN / LPN) Weekdays at Generations at Applewood LLC – Matteson, Illinois

Generations at Applewood in Matteson, Illinois has an immediate opening for an Experienced Wound Care Coordinator -. 8-hour shifts. Candidate must be a either a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or a Registered Nurse (RN). Wound Care Certificate or fully Wound Care Certified.

RN Rate: $89,440 - $93,600 depending on Certification

LPN Rate: $85,280 - $87,360 depending on Certification

Experience rounding with wound care physicians and developing care plans is required. We are seeking a leader who has experience with developing Wound Care programing.

This position is for weekdays. No scheduled weekends unless our weekend wound nurse has time off or other circumstances.

Responsibilities of the Wound Care Coordinator (RN/LPN):

• Skin evaluation for pressure sore prevention
• Medication application to existing wounds
• Educate patients to care for their own wounds
• Care for patient's surgical incisions, any pressure sores or any wounds caused from disease or injury

Wound Care Coordinator (RN/LPN):

• Current LPN or RN license from the State of Illinois
• Wound Care Certification (WCC) or Vohra Certificate
• Wound Care Coordinator experience - 2 years
• Round with physicians and develop/maintain quality Wound Care programming for the facility
• Personable and professional with residents, families, and staff
• Maintain confidentiality of all residents’ information in compliance with HIPAA standards
• Must have compassion, understanding and tolerance for older adults
