JOB SUMMARY

This position is responsible for providing department-specific clerical assistance. Duties include patient registration, checking charts for orders, reading and interpreting the orders accurately, processing patient charges, revising patient profile information, collecting and entering data, maintaining required reports and logs, maintaining appropriate files, utilizing various means of communication and performing any other clerical activities as assigned. This position requires full understanding and active participation in fulfilling the Mission of Blessing Hospital. It is expected that the employee will demonstrate behavior consistent with the Core Values and ICARE standards while supporting the strategic plan, goals and direction of the Performance Improvement/Patient Safety Plan at Blessing Hospital.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

Education/Training/Experience:

REQUIRED:

High School Diploma or Equivalent
Excellent written and verbal communication skills

PREFERRED:

Clerical experience
Well-rounded computer skills / knowledge

PAY STATUS

Non-exempt hourly
