We are seeking a skilled and dependable Maintenance Supervisor to oversee daily maintenance operations and ensure our facilities remain safe, functional, and well-maintained. Summary
Oversees all areas of maintenance for the group homes and program facilities. Anticipates facility needs and identifies capital improvement and maintenance budgets. Ensure that all facilities are prepared for inspection. Directly supervises the maintenance technicians. Assumes on call and all emergency management responsibilities.
Demonstrates and practices the New Avenues to Independence values. Responsible to promptly report to supervisor any circumstances that negatively affect the health, safety, or well-being of residents, staff, the agency or its equipment.
Responsibilities:
- Supervises daily management of maintenance work orders for general repair to the homes, including vehicles.
- On an ongoing basis, inspects homes and equipment to ensure completion of work orders, to check for needed repairs and to perform preventive maintenance and/or needed repairs.
- Maintain a preventive maintenance schedule on homes, equipment (including the fire alarm and sprinkler systems), vehicles, and follow-up to make sure that schedules are followed.
- Oversee the removal of snow and lawn/grounds upkeep for the ICF homes.
- Participates in life safety surveys and the submission of plan of corrections, as assigned.
- Assure that maintenance equipment (i.e. snow blowers, salt spreaders, tools) is properly maintained.
- Requisition, control and maintain an adequate level of maintenance supplies.
- Perform various semi-skilled/skilled work such as carpentry, minor electrical and plumbing repairs.
- Coordination of outside contractors to complete highly skilled maintenance orders.
- Coordination of all life safety vendors to ensure compliance.
- Assure that all vehicles are current with regular maintenance & registration tags in addition to coordination of vehicle repairs with the management team.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED
- 21yrs of age or older
- Strong project management skills
- Able to work with all governmental regulatory agencies.
- Strong knowledge of all aspects of facility construction, maintenance and life safety.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Mechanical security/safety/fire systems knowledge
- Strong working knowledge of plumbing, electrical and carpentry
- A valid Ohio driver’s license with 4 points or less on the driving record
- Auto Insurance.
