About This Position

Description:

The Program Manager is accountable to provide daily structure and supervision for the Wellness Respite staff and directs the team's and the program’s daily activities to insure adequate coverage of all scheduled events, appointments and commitments. Program Manager will supervise the service team to ensure guest are receiving services that are geared toward learning crisis coping skills and linking to resources in their community. Work as part of a team, to provide services to the guest that are consistent with agency’s mission, vision, values, Psychiatric Rehabilitation principles and the concept of wellness and recovery.

The program provides an alternative to hospitalization for individuals with psychiatric disabilities who are in crisis. During their stay in the Wellness Respite program guest will be provided with a Wellness Recovery Action Plan (WRAP) and linked to services within the community. Guest stay a max of 10 days in the program.

Monday - Friday

40 hours p/w

Requirements:

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Mental Health Related field and 2 years of relevant work experience.
  • 1+ years of supervisory experience
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage crises.
  • Ability to analyze processes and information, identify problems and trends, and develop effective solutions and strategies.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, leadership, coaching, conflict resolution skills and foster teamwork.
  • Ability to work with individuals with mental illness in a caring and professional manner.
  • Proficient in MS Office products.
  • Bilingual skills are preferred/ a plus.
  • Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
  • Knowledge of psychiatric rehabilitation model preferred.
  • Lived Experience: CSPNJ prioritizes hiring people who use their own life experience dealing with mental health/substance use issues to inspire and support others.
