Responsibilities:

• Collect environmental and water samples in accordance with established procedures.
• Conduct microbiological testing on water, raw materials, and finished products.
• Accurately document test procedures, observations, and results in laboratory logbooks and product release documentation.
• Complete finished product release forms in compliance with quality standards.
• Perform partial identification and characterization of microbial isolates.
• Maintain and preserve microbial stock cultures.
• Carry out environmental monitoring activities, including surface swabbing and air sampling within the facility.
• Perform quality control checks on microbiological media to ensure accuracy and reliability of test results.
• Maintain laboratory cleanliness and support routine housekeeping activities.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
• Execute microbiological analyses of environmental samples, water, raw materials, and finished products.
• Record testing methods and results in logbooks and data release systems.
• Conduct quality control testing on microbiological media.
• Perform partial microbial identification and characterization testing.
• Manage and maintain microbial culture collections.
• Perform environmental monitoring, including facility swabbing and air sampling.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant laboratory environment.

Qualifications:

• Associates degree in Biological Sciences or a related field required; Bachelors degree preferred.
• Previous experience in Quality Assurance or Quality Control is preferred.
• Ability to read, understand, and apply procedure manuals, specifications, and technical documentation.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to accurately document laboratory test results.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare reports and communicate findings clearly to all levels of management.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations, including rates, ratios, and percentages.
• Proficiency with personal computers, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint), Gmail, and Google Workspace.
