Job Summary:
The Sanitation Technician is responsible for the cleaning and sanitizing of all food prep equipment, following all FDA and SQF requirements as they pertain to the facility, equipment, and other items used in the manufacture of All Seasonings Ingredient’s products. Will follow strict work instructions related to the required sanitation of equipment and will work as part of a team to ensure that food safety standards are adhered to.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Performs standardized cleaning procedures, following chemical handling, PPE, and OSHA requirements
- Understands the manufacturing process and equipment/parts design to ensure proper equipment sanitation and efficient startups
- Inspect and report on all work areas and equipment to ensure AIB standards are met and notify management of any/all concerns
- Problem-solving with the Supervisor and Sanitation Team, with an open mind & the spirit of cooperation positively and professionally
- Responsible for efficiently performing duties in a variety of operational facilities for their sanitation and cleaning needs
- Work in conjunction with the Team as needed to assure readiness for upcoming projects; demonstrates good time management in performing work tasks to ensure deadlines are met
- Maintains records and daily logs, adhering to all current SOPs, and follows all safety procedures

Qualifications:
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities -
- Ability to communicate professionally and effectively
- Reading and comprehension abilities for the proper use of chemicals
- Must be able to follow the Occupational Safety and Health Administration guidelines when using and storing chemicals
- Must be able to demonstrate an understanding of national food safety initiatives by strict compliance to all Dept. of Ag & Markets, SQF, and AIB safety protocols, and procedures
Experience, Education, and Training -
- Education Requirement: Minimum High School diploma or its equivalent
- Previous Sanitation experience is a plus
- Must be able to pass a respirator exam & fit-test
