Maintenance Technician III - 1st Shift at Bonita Packing Co A Corp – Santa Maria, California

Position Summary

The Maintenance Technician III serves as a technical leader responsible for complex troubleshooting, project coordination, and mentoring. This position ensures high system reliability and continuous improvement across plant operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead root cause analysis and diagnostics for major equipment breakdowns.
• Coordinate daily maintenance priorities with planners and supervisors.
• Train, coach, and mentor Level 1 and 2 technicians.
• Design and implement safety and reliability improvements to machinery.
• Maintain expert-level knowledge of plant systems (mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, refrigeration, automation).
• Support USDA, Cal/OSHA, and CCOF compliance audits through documentation and system verification.
• Participate in capital project planning, installations, and commissioning.

Required Skills & Experience

• Advanced mechanical, electrical, and controls troubleshooting expertise.
• Strong PLC and automation knowledge (Allen-Bradley preferred).
• Ability to analyze downtime data and recommend solutions.
• Leadership, planning, and cross-departmental communication skills.
