Job Summary:

The Automotive Sales Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the dealership’s sales operations, including team leadership, inventory management, customer experience, and achieving sales and profitability goals. This role ensures that the sales team is performing at a high level, processes are followed, and customers receive an outstanding buying experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead, manage, and motivate the sales team to achieve and exceed sales targets.
  • Monitor daily, weekly, and monthly sales performance and implement strategies for improvement.
  • Work closely with the finance team to maximize profitability and ensure smooth deal flow.
  • Ensure a superior customer experience throughout the sales process.
  • Train, coach, and develop sales staff to improve performance and career growth.
  • Maintain proper inventory levels aligned with dealership objectives.
  • Monitor market trends and adjust sales strategies accordingly.
  • Desk deals and assist sales staff in closing transactions.
  • Address and resolve customer concerns in a professional and timely manner.
  • Ensure compliance with dealership policies and industry regulations.
  • Collaborate with marketing to develop and execute promotional campaigns.
  • Maintain a professional and inviting showroom and lot presentation.

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in automotive sales.
  • Proven track record of success in automotive sales.
  • Strong leadership, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Ability to motivate and develop a high-performing sales team.
  • Understanding of automotive sales processes, CRM tools, and dealership systems.
  • Experience desking deals and structuring sales transactions.
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
  • Excellent customer service and problem-solving skills.
