What You’ll Do

As a Maintenance Lead, you’ll be a key player— helping to control, analyze, and adjust the operation of fixed heavy equipment for the purpose of purifying quartz sand to be used in the glass industry

  • Operate and monitor plant equipment including fluidized bed dryers, conveyors, and bucket elevators
  • Perform routine inspections, troubleshooting, and maintenance on equipment
  • Run quality control tests to ensure top-tier product standards
  • Partner with the Plant Manager on daily operations and continuous improvements
  • Help drive safety, productivity, and efficiency initiatives
  • Communicate maintenance and production needs proactively
  • Track and support key performance indicators (KPIs)
  • Assist with repairs, housekeeping, and material quality control
  • Support procurement of parts, tools, and equipment
  • Step in wherever needed—this is a team-first environment
What You Bring
  • Experience in aggregate, sand, or asphalt plant operations
  • Familiarity with dryers, screens, conveyors, or similar heavy equipment
  • Mechanical aptitude and problem-solving mindset
  • Ability to perform basic computer tasks and recordkeeping
  • Strong commitment to safety and compliance
  • Willingness to work night shift, overtime, and weekends as needed
  • Ability to handle physically demanding work (lifting up to 50 lbs, climbing, bending, etc.)
Work Environment
  • Mix of indoor and outdoor work—expect real-world conditions (heat, cold, dust, etc.)
  • Hands-on role operating and maintaining heavy machinery
  • Safety-first culture aligned with MSHA and company standards
