About This Position
Summary:
Dean Mead, a full-service Florida Business law firm is seeking a full-time Legal Support Assistant to work in the firm’s Orlando Office. The Legal Support Assistant supports a variety of practice areas – Commercial Litigation, Corporate/Tax, Estate Planning, and Real Estate – with their administrative needs. Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform routine office and clerical duties for attorneys, paralegals, and legal assistants, such as scanning documents, preparing outgoing mail, and data entry.
- Create, organize, label, and maintain physical and electronic client files.
- Retrieve, track, and re-file documents upon request from attorneys and staff.
- Assist with file closing procedures, including archiving and destruction in line with retention policies.
- Convert documents to appropriate formats (e.g., PDF) and assist with basic document assembly (e.g., binders, tabs).
- Assist with special projects such as large-scale file organization and relocation of physical files.
- Attend client meetings to serve as a witness signature. Occasional travel to off-site signings may be required.
- Other administrative duties, as assigned by attorneys and managers.

Education and Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years relevant professional experience (Required) in a law firm (Preferred).
- High School Diploma or equivalent (Required).
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and PDF softwares (Required).
- Experience with iManage, Surepoint, and other legal softwares (Preferred).
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at times.
Work Environment:
- This position reports to work in-person at our downtown Orlando office.
