About This Position

Lead Salesforce Developer

This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Lead Salesforce Developer in the United States.

This role sits at the intersection of advanced Salesforce engineering and mission-driven digital transformation within a large-scale public sector environment. You will lead the technical development of Salesforce-based solutions supporting critical healthcare initiatives, with a strong focus on scalability, performance, and security. Acting as both a hands-on senior engineer and technical lead, you will guide architecture decisions, development standards, and team execution. The position involves designing and delivering complex Salesforce implementations across Service Cloud and Experience Cloud, while integrating modern frontend and backend technologies. You will collaborate closely with product owners, architects, analysts, and cross-functional Agile teams to translate business needs into robust technical solutions. This is a fully remote role offering high-impact work in a regulated, fast-evolving environment where engineering excellence directly supports public services.

Accountabilities:
  • Lead the end-to-end development lifecycle of Salesforce solutions, from requirement analysis and architecture design to deployment and support.
  • Design and develop scalable Salesforce applications using Apex, LWC, Aura components, Visualforce, SOQL, and SOSL.
  • Architect and oversee solutions across Salesforce Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, and analytics integrations such as Tableau CRM.
  • Collaborate with Product Owners and stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions and identify system dependencies.
  • Conduct code reviews, enforce best practices, and ensure high-quality, secure, and maintainable code delivery.
  • Mentor and support junior developers, providing technical guidance and performance feedback.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to continuous improvement of development processes and delivery standards.
  • Troubleshoot complex system issues across development, testing, and production environments.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field with 5+ years of relevant experience and 10+ years of hands-on Salesforce development experience.
  • Strong expertise in Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Aura framework, SOQL, SOSL, and Salesforce declarative tools (Flows, Process Builder, Lightning App Builder).
  • Salesforce Platform Developer I and II certifications (valid and verifiable).
  • Proven experience designing and delivering complex Salesforce solutions, including Service Cloud and Experience Cloud implementations.
  • Strong understanding of Salesforce architecture, data modeling, security model, integration patterns, and best practices.
  • Experience with CI/CD tools and version control systems such as GitHub or Bitbucket, and Salesforce development tools (SFDX, VS Code).
  • Familiarity with Agile frameworks (Scrum, SAFe, Kanban) and tools like Jira and Confluence.
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote, fast-paced, and multi-stakeholder environment.

Benefits:

  • Competitive salary range: $136,000 – $184,000 annually (based on experience and location).
  • Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance plans, including HSA options.
  • 401(k) retirement plan with company matching contributions.
  • Generous paid time off including vacation, sick leave, holidays, and parental leave.
  • Flexible remote work arrangements supporting work-life balance.
  • Professional development opportunities and internal mobility programs.
  • Additional insurance coverage options (life, disability, accident, critical illness).
  • Collaborative, innovation-driven environment focused on large-scale mission impact.
