Job Description:
Dobbs Defense Solutions is seeking a Part-Time Unanet ERP Administrator / GovCon Systems Specialist to support the configuration, maintenance, and optimization of our Unanet ERP GovCon environment. This role will focus on ensuring our system is properly structured to support government contracting requirements, accurate financial tracking, and compliant billing across multiple contract types.

The ideal candidate will bring hands-on Unanet experience and practical knowledge of government contracting operations, while collaborating with internal leadership and external accounting support to maintain an efficient and scalable system.

Duties:
  • Configure and maintain the Unanet ERP system to support project accounting, timekeeping, and financial reporting.
  • Set up and manage projects aligned with GovCon contract types, including Fixed Price, Time & Material (T&M), Firm Fixed Price (FFP), Cost Plus Fixed Fee (CPFF), and Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ).
  • Support task order setup and management within IDIQ contracts.
  • Build and maintain labor categories, cost structures, and project setups to ensure accurate cost tracking and billing.
  • Process and maintain contract modifications within the system, including updates to period of performance, funding, and rate changes based on government-issued modifications.
  • Ensure system configurations align with DCAA compliance expectations and internal controls.
  • Audit system data, workflows, and configurations to identify discrepancies or areas for improvement.
  • Generate and maintain reports and dashboards to support financial visibility and decision-making.
  • Support integration and coordination with systems such as ADP and other financial tools.
  • Provide guidance and training to internal staff on timekeeping, project setup, and system usage.
  • Collaborate with accounting and leadership teams, as well as external advisors, to ensure accurate financial reporting and contract performance tracking.
Qualifications:
Required Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Minimum of 5–8 years of experience working with Unanet ERP GovCon, preferably in a government contracting environment.
  • Strong understanding of GovCon contract types (Fixed Price, Time & Material (T&M), Firm Fixed Price (FFP), Cost Plus Fixed Fee (CPFF), and Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ)), including task order management.
  • Experience building and managing contract modifications within ERP systems, including updates to period of performance, funding, and rate changes.
  • Familiarity with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and DCAA compliance requirements as they relate to system configuration and billing.
  • Hands-on experience configuring ERP systems, including project setup, billing, and reporting.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a part-time consulting capacity while collaborating effectively with internal teams and external partners.
Working Environment:
Hybrid/1099/On-call availability as needed to support business operations outside standard hours

Salary Range:
Pay range information will be disclosed consistent with applicable state and local pay transparency laws once available. For this position, the anticipated hourly range is $60.00-$75.00, depending on experience, qualifications, and overall fit for the role.
