General Summary
As the Field Sales Manager for Rise Broadband, you will be pivotal in driving the growth and success of our Sales Department within the assigned region. You will be responsible for coordinating and leading sales initiatives to achieve and exceed budgeted sales targets. Your role will involve developing and executing strategic sales plans to optimize market penetration and support both short-term and long-term business objectives. This position requires a proactive leader capable of inspiring a team, driving performance, and enhancing customer satisfaction.
Essential Duties/ Responsibilities
- Actively support and champion initiatives aimed at simplifying and enriching the customer experience to ensure high satisfaction levels. Work with Cross Channels to continue to enhance our customer experience.
- Collaborate with Direct Sales Internal Teams and Resellers to formulate and implement effective sales strategies and plans that align with company goals. Clearly communicate the overall strategy and performance metrics to field personnel and monitor results to ensure objectives are met.
- Oversee and assess the performance of Direct Sales Teams and Resellers. Provide actionable insights and recommendations for strategic adjustments to maximize growth opportunities and improve sales outcomes.
- Play a key role in recruiting, interviewing, hiring, and onboarding Direct Sales staff. Provide ongoing training, mentorship, and support to ensure team members are well-informed of market offers and best practices. Being out in the field with our Teams is crucial to our success.
- Manage territory assignments for our Fixed Wireless and Fiber markets, ensuring optimal coverage and performance across the region.
- Address and resolve personnel issues, conduct performance appraisals, and provide coaching and safety training as needed to maintain a high-performing team.
- Assist in budget preparation and offer valuable insights on broader marketing strategies and issues to support the department’s financial and strategic goals.
- Develop and execute strategies for local community engagement, including partnerships with small businesses, participation in local events, grocery store roadshows, and outreach to MDUs. Build and maintain strong relationships within the community to enhance brand presence and support sales objectives.
- Perform other related tasks as assigned by the supervisor to support the overall objectives of the Direct Sales Department.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a sales role.
- At least 3 years of management experience, with a track record of leading and developing sales teams.
- Proficiency in English with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong understanding of direct sales strategies and techniques.
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize and organize tasks effectively.
- Proven leadership and motivational skills to manage and inspire a sales team.
- Capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously with attention to detail.
- High level of confidentiality and professionalism.
- Proficient in using personal computers and common software applications (e.g., word processing, spreadsheets).
Working Conditions:
- This role is performed in an office environment with regular field visits required.
- Employee remains in the sitting position for prolonged hours. Employee is required to stand, walk, use hands to handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear on a regular basis. Employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 15 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus
- Working conditions may include being in an open (shared) cubicle/workspace area.
