This role offers the opportunity to provide essential legal and administrative support for complex loan transactions and post-closing activities. You will manage documentation, filings, and compliance processes, ensuring accuracy and efficiency across multiple financial transactions. The position requires close collaboration with internal teams, including legal, underwriting, and portfolio management, while also mentoring junior staff and maintaining robust organizational systems. You will directly support the deployment of capital and the execution of loans, enabling the organization to achieve its mission responsibly and effectively.
- Manage post-closing requirements for core and special loan fund loans, including amendments and extensions.
- Draft, review, and organize loan documents, amendments, waiver letters, and collateral release materials.
- Prepare and file UCC filings, perform lien and litigation searches, and manage corporate entity searches.
- Support pre-closing and closing activities, including collection of signature pages and preparation of wire transfer requests.
- Maintain post-closing compliance by tracking documentation, UCC/mortgage filings, and title insurance policies.
- Organize and maintain client files, track department projects, and manage workflows using online collaboration and document management systems.
- Assist with special projects, entity formation/dissolution, and internal/external meetings as required.
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, paralegal studies, public administration, or a related field; equivalent combinations of education and experience considered.
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience as a paralegal or similar role in law firm or corporate setting, with a focus on financial, corporate, or structured finance transactions.
- Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent projects, track deadlines, deliverables, and ensure follow-up.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for professional interactions with internal and external stakeholders.
- High level of organization, attention to detail, and process-driven work habits in a fast-paced environment.
- Self-starter with accountability, integrity, and discretion in handling sensitive information.
- Comfortable working independently in a remote environment while building strong cross-team relationships.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Salesforce, and online collaboration/business systems.
- Familiarity with lending operations, loan documentation, and financial compliance processes preferred.
- Competitive salary range of $99,500 - $110,600, based on experience and internal equity.
