DESCRIPTION

This internship plays a hands-on role in supporting that mission—helping with HR initiatives, employee engagement, and talent acquisition activities that reflect Allegacy’s values and strengthen our culture.

Nature and Scope

This is a part-time summer internship for college students, working up to 20 hours per week based on business needs.

Interns will gain exposure to the fundamentals of HR within a financial services environment—including recruiting, onboarding, employee engagement, learning and development, and HR operations. They’ll work alongside experienced professionals and gain visibility into how HR practices support organizational goals and enhance the overall employee experience.

This internship is designed to build foundational HR knowledge while also developing professional skills such as communication, organization, and cross-functional collaboration. Interns will also gain insight into how HR integrates with other departments to support a positive and productive workplace.

Specific Accountabilities

· Demonstrate Allegacy’s shared values: helpful, hopeful, honest, hungry & humble in all work and interactions

· Support the HR team with day-to-day operational and project-based activities

· Assist with recruitment efforts, including scheduling interviews and maintaining candidate communications

· Support onboarding and orientation activities for new employees

· Participate in employee engagement initiatives and HR programs

· Collaborate with other departments to ensure HR practices align with organizational goals and culture

· Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with the highest level of integrity

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

This role is best suited for students with an interest in human resources, organizational leadership, or related fields, particularly within a financial services environment.

Preferred qualifications include:

· Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

· Interest in recruitment, employee engagement, or HR operations

· Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office; familiarity with HR systems is a plus

· Strong communication and interpersonal skills

· Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively within a team

· Curiosity, initiative, and a willingness to learn
