Psychiatric Medical Director – Inpatient

Ally Psychiatry is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Psychiatric Medical Director to lead our inpatient psychiatric services in Nashville, Tennessee. This is a full-time, hospital-based position located at Parthenon Pavilion, the dedicated behavioral health facility for HCA Centennial Medical Center.
This role offers the opportunity to work within a dynamic and academically engaged environment, featuring a robust Psychiatry GME (Graduate Medical Education) program, a high-volume ECT service, and an extensive inpatient consult service.
Position Highlights:
- 100% Inpatient Psychiatry
- Practice based at Parthenon Pavilion (HCA Centennial’s behavioral health hospital)
- Leadership role overseeing clinical operations and quality of care
- Active participation in a well-established Psychiatry Residency (GME) program
- Opportunity to perform and teach Electroconvulsive Therapy (ECT)
- Collaboration with multidisciplinary teams and hospital leadership
- Strong administrative and clinical support
- Provide clinical leadership and oversight for inpatient psychiatric services
- Supervise and mentor psychiatric providers, including residents
- Maintain high standards of patient care, safety, and compliance
- Participate in teaching and development of psychiatry residents
- Engage in ECT services, including training and supervision where appropriate
- Board Certified/Board Eligible in Psychiatry
- Prior leadership experience preferred
- Experience working in or alongside a psychiatric GME/residency program
- Competency in ECT, or strong interest in performing and teaching ECT
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated professionalism with a clean professional and personal background
