This role is responsible for designing, building, and maintaining the core data platform that powers high-throughput, distributed data processing for analytics and product features. You will play a key part in shaping the platform’s technical strategy, ensuring scalable, reliable, and performant pipelines, while mentoring junior engineers and promoting best practices. The position offers an environment where innovation, collaboration, and technical excellence are central, with opportunities to influence both internal analytics and product-facing features. You will work with cross-functional teams to anticipate future data needs and help maintain operational reliability through on-call support. This is a hands-on, technical leadership role that combines coding, architecture, and coaching in a fast-paced, high-impact environment.

• Design, develop, and maintain distributed, scalable, and high-throughput data pipelines to support product and analytics needs
• Architect robust solutions for data ingestion, transformation, storage, and access patterns, ensuring reliability and performance
• Contribute to the data platform’s technical strategy and roadmap, anticipating future data requirements
• Mentor and guide junior and mid-level engineers, conducting thorough code reviews and promoting best practices
• Participate in on-call rotations to address operational issues impacting data services
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to integrate new features and maintain data quality

• 5+ years of software engineering experience, including experience in a technical leadership capacity
• Extensive experience designing, building, and operating large-scale distributed data processing systems and pipelines
• Strong knowledge of data architecture, storage, and access patterns
• Solid computer science fundamentals, including algorithms, data structures, and system design
• Expertise in clean coding practices and automation for maintainable, high-quality code
• Experience mentoring engineers and guiding technical decisions in distributed, traffic-intensive environments
• Familiarity with Go or similar programming languages for backend/data engineering tasks
