Position Title: Bell/Valet
Reports To: Valet Guest Service Supervisor
Department: Room Operations - 010030
Shift: Varies
Role: The Bell/Valet provides each guest with exceptional arrival/departure experience by servicing vehicle and luggage demands as needed. Ensures timely check-in/out and proper handling of luggage/guest vehicles/room deliveries. Perform job responsibilities satisfactorily and to according to department standards. Adheres to all Company, Safety and Department policies and procedures. Fosters teamwork and provides excellent guest service, anticipates guest needs to exceed guest expectations. Builds brand loyalty by living the JW Marriott Core Values.
Qualifications:
- Education: High School diploma or GED
- Experience: Minimum one (1) year previous experience in guest services
- Skills:
- Ability to drive automatic and manual vehicles
- Ability to greet guests warmly, handle inquiries, and provide a positive first impression.
- Clear and polite verbal communication for interacting with guests and team members.
- Quick thinking to resolve guest concerns or logistical issues.
- Efficiently handling multiple tasks like luggage assistance and vehicle parking during peak times.
- Ability to lift and carry luggage, stand for long periods, and work in varying weather conditions.
Required Work Cards needed:
- Valid Nevada driver’s license
- TAM card
Key Responsibilities: Responsibilities include, but are not limited, to the following:
- Ensuring guest belongings are handled carefully and vehicles are parked securely.
- Trustworthiness when handling guests’ property.
- Maintaining a professional and neat appearance.
- Greet and thank each guest during the arrival and departure experience.
- Assist, retrieve, store guest luggage.
- Perform room deliveries.
- Open car/lobby doors for all guests.
- Maintains traffic control, ensuring fire lanes are kept clear at all times.
- Secure taxis and other transportation for guests.
- Maintain proper control of all guest keys.
- Each associate is expected to carry out, within their capabilities, all reasonable requests by management.

When on the casino floor, the noise level increases too loud. Additionally, smoking is permitted in casino areas consistent with Nevada state regulations, which are followed by the employer.
