EXERCISE PHYSIOLOGIST CARDIAC PRN

• Work location: 6100 Harris Parkway Fort. Worth, TX 76132
• Work hours: Monday - Friday 6:00 AM - 6:30 PM (hours will vary based patient volume and staffing needs)

Here's What You Need:
• Bachelor's Degree in Exercise Physiology required.
• Master's degree Exercise Physiology preferred
• 3 months' experience with cardiac rehab or diagnostic stress testing is required.
• BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly required.
• ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support 90 Days required.
• EP-C - Certified Exercise Physiologist Upon Hire preferred.
• RCEP - Registered Clinical Exercise Physiologist Upon Hire
Here's What You Will Do:
• Performs cardiac diagnostic stress testing, which includes treadmill, pharmacological and nuclear stress test and resting ECG.
• Ability to accurately interpret rest and stress 12 lead ECG and document any abnormalities.
• Assess level of patient care and any contraindications to performing diagnostic stress test.
• Demonstrates knowledge of radio isotopes used in Nuclear Cardiology
• Communications effectively conveys appropriate, relevant information to physicians and other health care providers.
• Reports critical findings promptly to interpreting Cardiologist
• Maintains current certification, Certified Exercise Specialist (CES) or Registered Clinical Exercise Physiologist (RCEP) through American College of Sports Medicine, ACSM www.certification.ascm.org
Maintains certification for BLS and ACLS.
