This role is a senior leadership position responsible for shaping and executing the product design strategy across digital wellness and fitness platforms. The Director of Product Design will lead a talented team of UX/UI designers while remaining hands-on in design execution, ensuring engaging and seamless experiences for users, partners, and clients. The role requires collaboration across product management, engineering, and marketing to create scalable and innovative solutions. The ideal candidate will combine strategic vision with operational excellence, mentor and develop design talent, and stay ahead of industry trends and accessibility standards. This position emphasizes a balance of leadership, creative problem-solving, and measurable impact on user experience. • Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing team of product designers, fostering professional development and creativity
• Define and implement design strategies that align with business objectives and digital wellness goals
• Oversee the end-to-end product design process, from discovery and ideation to prototyping, user testing, and delivery across web and mobile platforms
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure design solutions are feasible, scalable, and aligned with user and business needs
• Establish and maintain consistent design standards, guidelines, and best practices
• Collect and analyze user feedback and behavioral data to inform design decisions and optimize product experiences
• Stay current with industry trends, accessibility standards, and regulatory requirements relevant to digital wellness and fitness

Requirements:

• 10+ years of experience in product design, with at least 5 years in a leadership or lead contributor capacity
• 2+ years managing and mentoring a design team
• Strong portfolio showcasing innovative solutions for digital wellness or fitness products
• Expertise with design and prototyping tools such as Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, and AI prototyping platforms
• Demonstrated ability to lead and contribute directly to cross-functional teams, driving alignment and results
• Excellent communication, presentation, and organizational skills
• Knowledge of accessibility standards and digital compliance relevant to wellness and fitness platforms is a plus
