About This Position
Certified Nursing Assistant - Post Partum
Under the guidance of the Nurse Manager or Director, the Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) plays a vital role in delivering compassionate, skilled, and age-appropriate care to patients. Working closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals, the CNA ensures that every patient receives the highest level of support and attention.
In collaboration with a Registered Nurse, the CNA will assist with a variety of patient-centered tasks, including:
- Providing hands-on patient care, ensuring comfort and dignity
- Monitoring and recording vital signs to track patient progress
- Assisting with daily activities of living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, and mobility support
- Performing basic clinical procedures as directed
- Observing and promptly reporting any changes in a patient’s condition to the supervising Nurse or Physician
- Documenting all interactions and care provided in the patient’s medical record
Hourly Pay Rate: $16.87 - $24.88
Qualifications
Education:
- Prefer a high school diploma or GED.
Experience:
- Prefers at least one (1) year of relevant nursing assistant or healthcare-related experience.
Specialized Training:
- Must successfully complete approved Valleywise Health computer classes.
Certification/Licensure:
- Requires licensure through the AZ Board of Nursing as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Licensed Nursing Assistant (LNA), or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).
- Requires BLS card obtained through an approved American Heart Association (AHA) training center upon hire.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Bilingual is preferred.
- Must have the ability to work with culturally diverse people.
- Requires excellent communication, time management, and leadership skills.
- Requires the ability to read, write, and speak effectively in English.
