What This Job Is Really About

If you’re the person who can walk up to a machine, figure out what’s wrong, and fix it without being told step-by-step—this is your role.

You’ll be working hands-on with equipment, keeping things running, troubleshooting issues, and handling a mix of planned maintenance and real-time breakdowns. No two shifts look the same, and your work directly keeps production moving.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and facility equipment
  • Perform preventive maintenance on motors, pumps, compressors, and systems
  • Replace worn parts like bearings, belts, seals, and valves
  • Respond to equipment breakdowns and get things back up quickly
  • Assist with installing and setting up new equipment
  • Use CMMS to track work orders, repairs, and maintenance tasks
  • Read schematics, prints, and manuals to diagnose issues
  • Monitor equipment performance and flag potential problems early
  • Help maintain parts inventory and keep tools organized
  • Follow all safety procedures (lockout/tagout, etc.)
What Your Day May Look Like
  • Start your shift with a safety meeting
  • Review work orders and checking in with the team
  • Knock out scheduled PMs on equipment across the facility
  • Get called to troubleshoot a machine that went down—track the issue and fix it
  • Replace a worn part and test the system to make sure it’s running right
  • Work with another tech to solve a bigger or recurring issue
  • Jump between planned work and unexpected repairs throughout the shift
  • Log your work in the system and update notes for the next shift
  • Wrap up by making sure your area is clean and the equipment is ready to run
Requirements: What You Bring
  • 3+ years of maintenance experience (mechanical, electrical, or industrial)
  • Strong troubleshooting skills—you can figure things out on your own
  • Experience working with industrial or facility equipment
  • Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic tools (like multimeters)
  • Ability to read schematics and technical manuals
  • Understanding of safety practices (lockout/tagout, etc.)
  • Ability to handle physical work (lifting, climbing, being on your feet)
Bonus If You Have
  • Maintenance certifications (HVAC, Electrical, OSHA, etc.)
  • Experience with PLCs, controls, or building systems
  • Experience in manufacturing or industrial environments
  • Familiarity with CMMS systems, CNC, Blue Print Reading
