Medical Assistant II - Hemlock Pain Center

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Medical Assistant I to support our healthcare providers and enhance patient experiences. Must be able to travel to satellite offices in Dublin, GA, Warner Robins, GA, Milledgeville, GA, and Macon, GA on a weekly rotation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet and check in patients, ensuring a welcoming and efficient check-in process
- Obtain and document patient medical histories and current health information accurately
- Assist healthcare providers with clinical procedures and examinations
- Prepare examination rooms and ensure all necessary supplies and equipment are ready
- Collect and process laboratory specimens and perform basic diagnostic tests as directed
- Schedule patient appointments and follow-up visits
- Educate patients on pre- and post-procedure care and answer general questions
- Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations
- Manage and update patient records in electronic health records (EHR) systems
- Assist with administrative tasks such as billing, coding, and insurance verification as needed

Requirements:Skills and Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a Medical Assistant certification program preferred
- Prior experience in a clinical setting is a plus
-Certified Medical Assistant is a plus
- Knowledge of medical terminology, clinical procedures, and EHR systems
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
