Responsibilities:
- Lead end-to-end payroll operations to ensure accurate and timely employee compensation processing.
- Oversee payroll data entry, including hours worked, deductions, taxes, and payroll adjustments.
- Manage payroll systems such as ADP, Workday, Paychex, UltiPro, or similar platforms.
- Reconcile payroll accounts and general ledger entries to maintain accurate financial records.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll tax regulations and filing requirements.
- Partner with HR to support benefits administration, enrollments, changes, and terminations.
- Generate payroll expense reports, compensation analysis, and related financial reporting for leadership review.
- Support audits by preparing payroll documentation and maintaining organized records.
- Identify and resolve payroll discrepancies while improving accuracy and efficiency.
- Maintain confidentiality and ensure compliance with company policies and labor regulations.
- Provide leadership and support to payroll staff or cross-functional teams as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Experience:
- Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
- Minimum of 5-8 years of payroll experience required.
- Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) strongly preferred.
- Strong experience managing full-cycle payroll processing.
- Experience with payroll systems such as Workday, ADP, Paychex, UltiPro, Kronos, Ceridian, or similar
- Strong understanding of payroll tax regulations and compliance requirements.
- Knowledge of accounting principles including journal entries, debits/credits, and general ledger reconciliation.
- Experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks or similar systems preferred.
- High attention to detail and strong analytical/problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work onsite.
